Skyline is situated on Mount Ngongotaha, over looking the city of Rotorua. Now entering our 25th Year of operation, Skyline is one of the region’s leading tourism attractions.
The creation of the Luge was a world first, proudly, designed and built in Rotorua! The Luge is a fun-filled gravity ride on a three wheel cart. The unique braking and steering system, gives you, the rider, full control. Riders have the choice of 3 tracks, with a combined total of over 4kms to ride. Once you reach the end of the luge ride, riders return to Skyline’s upper complex by chairlift, ready for their next ride!
- Scenic Track A 2 km leisurely ride through Redwood trees. Pull off areas along the track provide great opportunities for taking photographs. The Scenic Track is the first ride of the day for all riders.
- Intermediate Track A 1.5km ride overlooking the city. Chicane’s and tunnel make for a fun- filled experience.
- Advance Track 1-kilometre thrilling and exhilarating ride. This track is suitable for those wanting an adrenaline pumping ride. Features include tight-twisting corners and big-dipper drop.
